Welcome to the Honey Bell Pattern Tester Application!

I’m so excited you’re here. The Honey Bell pattern is my very first pattern, and I truly hope it’s the first of many. This pattern has been a labor of love, and I’m looking for a wonderful group of quilters to help me make it the very best it can be before its official release.

Pattern testing is one of the most important parts of the design process. Your feedback helps ensure the instructions are clear, accurate, and enjoyable to follow for quilters of all skill levels. Whether you catch a typo, find a confusing step, or simply let me know what you loved, your input is incredibly valuable.

Thank you again for considering being part of my very first pattern launch. I can’t wait to read your application and hopefully welcome you to the Honey Bell Hive! 🐝🌼

About the Designer

Hi, I’m Kaylee, the maker behind The Pup Prints!

The Pup Prints is my little corner of the internet where I share quilt patterns, sewing projects, and creative inspiration made with a love for handmade things. I believe the best projects are the ones that become keepsakes, and I hope my patterns inspire you to create something you’ll treasure for years to come.

The Honey Bell is one of my very first patterns, and I’m so grateful you’ve considered being part of its journey. Your time, feedback, and support mean more than you know as I begin this exciting adventure into pattern design.

And, of course, no sewing day is complete without my studio sidekick, Nachito (my dog), who’s usually nearby supervising with expert-level naps and the occasional request for attention.

Thank you for helping me make the Honey Bell the very best it can be. I can’t wait to see what we create together!

Happy stitching,
Kaylee & Nachito 🐾

About the Pattern

The Honey Bell is a Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) pattern designed to create crisp, accurate points with the precision that paper piecing is known for. If you’re new to FPP, don’t let that intimidate you! While this pattern is best suited for confident beginners through experienced quilters, the instructions are written with clarity in mind, and part of this testing process is making sure they’re easy to follow. I even have a step-by-step video just in case you need it!

Whether you’re an experienced paper piecer or looking to grow your FPP skills, I’m excited to hear your thoughts on everything from the diagrams and instructions to the overall quilting experience.

FAQs

How many testers am I choosing?

The exact number will depend on the applications I receive, but I’m hoping to select a well-rounded group of testers with a variety of quilting and Foundation Paper Piecing experience. My goal is to gather thoughtful feedback from different skill levels and perspectives.

Do I have to post on social media?

Not at all! Social media is completely optional and will not affect your chances of being selected.

If you enjoy sharing your quilting journey, I’d love for you to post your progress and tag me @hey_sewimkaylee and hashtag #honeybellquilt after any approved sharing dates. Every share helps support my small business, but your thoughtful feedback during testing is what matters most.

Can beginners apply?

Absolutely! Honey Bell is a Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) pattern designed for confident beginners through experienced quilters.

If you’re newer to FPP but comfortable with basic quilting techniques and excited to learn, I’d love for you to apply. One of my goals is to make sure the instructions are clear and easy to follow for quilters who are building their FPP skills. Even if you get a little lost, I have a step-by-step video on how to assemble the block.

What happens if I can’t finish?

Life happens, and I completely understand that unexpected things come up.

If you find that you won’t be able to complete the test, I simply ask that you let me know as soon as possible. Communication is greatly appreciated and helps me keep the testing process running smoothly. There are no hard feelings. ❤️

Will I receive the finished pattern?

Yes! All selected testers will receive a complimentary digital copy of the Honey Bell pattern to use during testing. Once testing is complete and the final edits have been made, you’ll also receive the finished version of the pattern as a thank-you for your time, feedback, and support.
